Management Accounts
Record payments and follow WHT into Tax Tracking
Review payment references and withholding-tax fields, then use the linked Tax Tracking workspace to monitor records and reports.
Enter WHT on a supplier bill
- 1
Open Expense Register and complete the WHT fields.
Enter WHT Applicable, WHT Category, WHT Payee Type, WHT Rate, WHT Account Code, and WHT Remittance Status for bills subject to withholding tax.
- 2
Check the calculated WHT Amount.
- It uses Net Amount and the selected percentage rate.
- Choose the rate for each transaction from the maintained category and payee-type table; there is no company-wide default rate.
Record cheque and other payments
- 1
Open Cheque Payment Register and enter Payment Reference No.
- Use the voucher, cheque, transfer, or other payment reference.
- A separate Cheque/Transfer Reference is not required.
- 2
Choose Payment Method.
Select cheque, bank transfer, cash, mobile money or wallet, card or payment gateway, or another method.
- 3
Choose the payee.
- For an active supplier, use Payee Selection in the manual form or workbook.
- WiseWage saves the matching Supplier Code and Supplier Name together.
- 4
Check the posting accounts.
- The selected bank/cash and debit accounts determine the posting.
- The payment reference supports audit and reconciliation.
Choose a supplier or other payee
- 1
For supplier payments, leave Other Payee Name blank.
If you enter Related Bill / Invoice No., it must exactly match the supplier bill number in Expense Register.
- 2
For an employee, tax authority, or one-off recipient, choose Other payee (not a supplier).
Complete Other Payee Name and leave Related Bill / Invoice No. blank.
- 3
Correct any row-level errors before importing.
- The workbook enforces these payee combinations.
- Older workbooks may still use Related Document No as an accepted alias.
Record tax remittances and bank fees
- 1
Pay the tax authority using a normal Cheque Payment Register line.
- Choose Other payee and debit the WHT liability account.
- This register does not repeat the supplier bill's WHT fields.
- 2
Record the customer's full payment in Receipt Register.
Record each bank fee separately in Expense Register.
Review supplier and expected WHT records
- 1
Open Tax Tracking > All Vendors.
Suppliers from the active company's Management Accounts Supplier Master appear automatically, including suppliers with no WHT records yet.
- 2
Review the expected WHT record after saving the supplier bill.
Saving an Expense Register row with WHT Applicable set to Yes automatically creates an expected WHT record in Tax Tracking.
- 3
Edit supplier identity in Management Accounts.
- Supplier name, code, TIN, email, and active status are controlled there.
- Tax Tracking manages vendor groups, tax categories, default WHT rates, notes, records, and receipts.
- 4
Review synchronised records in the correct workspace.
- Expense Register controls their transaction fields.
- Their Tax Tracking status and receipt position remain reviewable in Tax Tracking.
Switch workspace or company
- 1
Use the workspace dropdown to move between Payroll, Management Accounts, and Tax Tracking.
The selected company is preserved before the destination opens, including a Super Admin company selected in Management Accounts.
- 2
As a Super Admin, use the company selector in the Tax Tracking header to change client.
The dashboard, vendors, registers, receipts, groups, and exports then reload for that company.
Add expected WHT from other sources
- 1
Open Expected WHT Records for items that do not originate in Management Accounts.
You can add company-scoped manual records or import a validated XLSX workbook.
- 2
Download the guided import template before preparing the file.
Check that you are working in the correct company before adding or importing records.
Maintain tax-only vendors
- 1
Use the Vendor import template for tax-only vendors.
Include tax classifications, default WHT rates, notes, and group names as needed.
- 2
Keep linked supplier identity changes in Management Accounts.
Vendor imports cannot overwrite a linked Supplier Master name, TIN, email, or active status.
- 3
Review the in-app confirmation before a destructive action.
Vendor, group, and manual-record destructive actions require confirmation before completion.
Research and report
- 1
Open Tax Tracking > Tax Infobase to research Nigerian tax topics.
- Use Contents to expand Acts, chapters and parts, then open a provision or schedule.
- Heading-only groups do not open separate reading pages.
- Use Search to find a topic, heading or section number, then select a result to read its complete text.
- 2
Check the source and confirm current official guidance before acting.
- Only the supplied Nigeria Tax Act 2025, Nigeria Tax Administration Act 2025, and Joint Revenue Board of Nigeria (Establishment) Act 2025 are indexed.
- The old draft-era research is excluded.
- Read the filename and paragraph citations and use adjacent extracts for context.
- Source wording and numbering inconsistencies are retained.
Ask the Tax Assistant
- 1
Open Tax Tracking > Tax Assistant and read Sources, review limits and conversation privacy.
- Type in the question box below the conversation.
- Use Dictate question in a supported browser to speak, then review the draft before selecting Ask.
- The browser speech service may process audio online.
- - Ask about VAT, e-invoicing, cross-border services, input tax, or a named provision.
- - Review each Source and its warnings before relying on the explanation.
- - Copy useful answers or select Download Word before leaving; this conversation is temporary.
- 2
Select Attach file to add a readable PDF, UTF-8 TXT, CSV or Markdown file.
- - Up to three files, 2 MB each, 20 PDF pages and 12,000 characters per file; 20,000 characters in total.
- - Expand Preview text to check extraction and remove unwanted files before Ask.
- Scanned or protected PDFs need a readable text copy.
- - File text is sent to the configured AI service with your question, but is not saved in the company document library.
- Treat it as context, not verified law.
- Reattach files when follow-ups need their exact contents.
- - Leaving or reloading clears the temporary conversation and attachments.
- Provider retention is separate.
- The demo uses fictional dictation and attachments without accessing your microphone or files.
- 3

- If an explanation is unavailable, read the reason shown.
- Disabled access or connection settings need an administrator; temporary service failures can be retried.
- Supporting passages remain available.
- Sources do not update automatically; review the answer before acting.
- 4
Copy or download the response if needed.
- The assistant is read-only: it does not post, approve, save, or change company records.
- Questions and company data are not sent to an external AI service.
Review and export WHT reports
- 1
Open Tax Tracking > WHT Reports.
Review monthly and YTD expected, credited, and outstanding amounts, plus expected and outstanding aging.
- 2
Choose the report for your review.
Other views cover master reconciliation, vendor detail, receipt evidence, exceptions and quality control, KPI analysis, source and status controls, and the all-vendor portfolio.
- 3
Choose View Report before exporting.
- Check live metrics, control sections, and sample rows.
- Vendor Detail follows the selected vendor.
- 4
Choose Complete WiseWage WHT Report Pack for the combined workbook.
