Understand session timeout

WiseWage automatically ends inactive and long-running employee sessions to reduce the risk of someone accessing payroll or HR information from an unattended device.

When WiseWage signs you out

  1. 1Your session ends after 30 minutes without clicks, typing, scrolling, navigation, or touch activity.
  2. 2A session also ends after 12 hours even if you remain active.
  3. 3When the session ends, WiseWage returns you to the Employee sign-in portal and asks you to sign in again.

Respond to the warning

  1. 1WiseWage displays an in-app warning two minutes before timeout.
  2. 2Choose Stay signed in when you are still working, or Sign out now when you are finished.
  3. 3Save unfinished forms before leaving your device because automatic sign-out can discard unsaved changes.
  4. 4Always sign out manually on shared devices instead of waiting for the timeout.
